XPrivacy can prevent applications (including associated background services and content providers) to leak the privacy of sensitive data.
XPrivacy may restrict the categories of data that an application can access. This is done by feeding an application without data or false. There are several categories of data that can be restricted, for example, contacts or location. This is only a guide, since an application has access to the Internet through other applications as well. If an application has requested Android permissions to access data in a data category, this will be displayed with a green icon, but this will only show when looking at an individual application as checking permissions for all applications is rather slow.
